Suspire play a free show at Bar Bloc with Fridge Magnets and Miniature Dinosaurs. SAMAs After-Show Party Follows.
There’s been a great deal of excitement surrounding the Scottish Alternative Music Awards (SAMAs) over the last few weeks – and rightfully so. Richy Muirhead (Founder) has built a great platform that aims to celebrate artists in the swelling underground music scene.
This year, the increasingly-popular award ceremony will be held at The Garage in Glasgow.
Bar Bloc will be hosting an official SAMAs after-show party, with Suspire (armed with new member, Ian Thomson); Miniature Dinosaurs (nominee); and Fridge Magnets (nominee).

Suspire Shortlisted for Scotland’s Greatest (Under the Radar) Album – Coinciding with STV Show
Please vote for Suspire on Jim Gellatly’s Show on SUNDAY 20th November:
<Link to the Amazing Radio Show>
Already, newest single, ‘Salvation Sister’, has been spun for over 18 weeks on Jim Gellatly’s show – not only on the Amazing Radio programme, but also gaining primetime spins on Clyde 1 On:Demand Uncut. For this, we are deeply thankful.
Now, after also miraculously pipping Bjork to the post in a head-to-head first-week of release in the Official UK Charts - and winning a wee SNMA for the recording along the way – it would be the perfect cherry-on-top to be part of Scotland’s Greatest (Under the Radar) Album.
Please vote for us!
VOTING STARTS ON SUNDAY 20TH NOVEMBER (for a few days only).
Thank you for all the support on this single so far.

Black Sparrow & Nice N Sleazy: Upcoming Glasgow Shows
1. So, although we’ve tweeted about it and ‘Facebooked’ about it: we thought we’d still dedicate the first part of this blog to it… Yes, somehow beyond our comprehension, we managed to outsell Bjork during the first week of releasing new single, Salvation Sister. Bjork, Martha Wainright – (as a feat. artist only) – and Josh Osho all released new songs the same day as ours – and we phenomenally outsold them that week.
We know we’ve said this many times since, but we want to say it again to you, the person reading this: THANK YOU. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. It’s people like you that can make an incredible difference for independent artists like us.
